1. We start by getting to know one and another through conversation- trust is built upon transparency, authenticity, and reliability.
2. We investigate the problem areas of your life- what are the variables impacting you- both conscious or unconscious.
3. We examine character strengths- you have done life thus far, lets highlight the things you do well and assess further capabilities.
4. We explore goals for therapy- This gives us direction, focus, and how we later assess progress.
5. We WORK; applying my training and experience in many different therapy modalities to assist you in making positive life changes.
6. Assess- I check my ego at the door, if you do not feel like progress or change is being made, I will help you find another therapist.

I began to struggle with alcohol working as a police officer. I struggled with the pressures of the job, and the constant barrage of trauma and suffering.
I couldn’t find anyone to help me. The therapists I met had little to no cultural awareness or understanding of my work as a police officer or the connection of trauma with substance use. I was fortunate to eventually find a therapist I connected with which saved my life.
I am a simple servant…just giving back
